Research Policy

Thank you for taking part in a CLARA study. The purpose of this study is to gather information from participants like you to guide our clients in improving their work. CLARA conducts surveys and interviews for market research—through these studies, CLARA is not promoting or selling anything. We will be clear and honest about how the information you provide will be used and with whom the information will be shared.

Your responses—in the study and correspondence related to the study—will be confidential. The information you provide will be combined with that provided by other study participants and will be presented to the sponsoring clients in aggregate, without any names or identifying information attached to the data you provide. CLARA has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Only Holly Moline Simons, CLARA founder, has access to the information you provide us. The data provided will be used for analysis and quality control purposes only. Your contact information and data provided will never be sold or distributed by CLARA.

Your participation is voluntary. No personal information is sought from or about you without your prior knowledge and agreement. At any stage of the study, or after it is complete, you may ask that part or all of the information you provide be destroyed or deleted. Wherever possible, we will honor your request.

We make every effort not to interview children without first getting the permission of their parents. Because we rely on self-reported data, we cannot always guarantee this to be the case.

In rare circumstances, we may ask your permission to provide information that could identify you. We will never do so without your permission and will ensure that, for all purposes within our control, the information is used for research purposes only. We will never share your contact information for unsolicited mail or email. If we intend to send you future communications, we will ask your permission to do so.

CLARA and it's representatives reserve the right to halt an interview at any time. If interviews are not completed, incentives will not be provided.


About Us

CLARA is a marketing consultancy that works with organizations and businesses to complete market research and develop related marketing campaigns. CLARA was founded by Holly Moline Simons after she worked for 24 years in the K–12 and higher education portions of our public education system. About 70% of CLARA’s business is with public and private institutions of higher education, which means we often ask what prospective students, current students, faculty members, staff, alumni, and community members think about a university. Other CLARA clients include retailers, restaurants, wineries, and entrepreneurs.
