Meet Holly.

Scrappy? For sure. This one grew up in small town Southern Oregon. Rafted the Rogue at age 8. Swam Junior Olympics at 10. Had my first real job at 11. Met Maya Angelou at 18, who cupped my face in her hand and told me to use my life, my college degree, and my privilege to make the world better. Just make it better.

Fast forward. I give 25 years to public education in Oregon, first with the Salem-Keizer School District, then with the University of Oregon. I manage web sites and mail rooms. Art direct photo shoots and viewbooks. Write my heart out. News releases, newsletters, and new media, oh my. Print, outdoor, video, email, social, digital—all marketing, all the time.

I start with a strategic plan, encourage ingenuity, and lead a talented team to produce thousands of projects and exceed the university's goals, over and over. We picked up some heavy metal along the way—CASE, Digital Marketing, and an Addy—bronze, silver, gold, and grand gold.  But my proudest work? Leading that mighty team of people with whom I laughed daily and found true joy in our work.

Now I'm turning my energy, ideas, and all-action to a broader group. Through CLARA, my communications consultancy named for my hard-working great grandma, I'm partnering with businesses, agencies, nonprofits, and universities—at home in Eugene and across the country. I make nimble turns and maximize small budgets. I'm at my best breaking trails, being bold, and expressing simple ideas with grand gestures to get results. And, I bring my spunk to each project, equal parts Trixie Belden, Veronica Mars, and Ramona the Brave.

The result? Excellent marketing solutions that get the responses you want and the results you need.
